Giving to the Food Industry Leadership Center
The Food Industry Leadership Center (FILC) was initially conceived and funded by visionary industry leaders. The Center is a self-support program within the School of Business Administration, and we rely solely on fundraising and contributions to support our executive educational offerings and academic programs. Our commitment to our students drives us to continually strive to keep our curriculum up-to-date and relevant. The Center’s rapid growth is a positive sign that we are successfully responding to the needs of our students and the companies that employ them, but that growth raises the question of where the continued funding will come from to sustain it.
The FILC welcomes support from all companies who have an interest in the improvement of this industry and who may depend on it as a source of revenue. There are many ways to give support the Food Industry Leadership Center:
Sponsor one of our endowment or program funds:
- FILC Student Programs Fund
- FILC Endowment
- Robert Miller Endowment
- Fred G. Meyer Chair
- Inspirators Scholarship
- Industry Funding Contributions
Scholarships; An Investment in Tomorrow’s Industry
Leaders:
Financial contributions toward scholarships pave the way for talented students to become involved with the FILC, earn the industry specific certificate, and start a meaningful career in the retail and packaged goods industry. Each year, the Center awards more than $55,000 in scholarships, representing all or part of a students' tuition and materials costs. A scholarship committee reviews written applications from interested students in the Spring and Fall of each academic year.
